Angel Fund Grant Program

Statement of Purpose & Scope

Purpose

To ensure that membership remains accessible to individuals who are passionate about the chapter’s mission but face temporary or ongoing financial hardship.

Award

The chapter provides the member’s international portion of annual membership dues ($115), and the member is still responsible for the local dues portion ($65) within required deadlines.

Grant Eligibility

Assistance is granted based on demonstrated financial need, not on race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. Qualifying factors may include:

  • Personal or Professional Hardship: May include unemployment, medical emergencies, or significant personal/family financial obligations.

  • Active Status: Applicants must be a New Orleans chapter member in good standing prior to requesting assistance.

Grant Application Process

Submission: Applicants submit a letter to the chapter president (recommended between 250-400 words, more is acceptable) explaining the member’s personal or professional hardship.

Review: Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and kept strictly confidential.

Processing Time: Completed applications should be processed within 30 days from submission.

Terms & Conditions

Grant Award Period

The subsidized Angel Fund Grant is valid for one year. Members may reapply only once consecutively to continue receiving Angel Fund grant assistance.
