Shef Rhome Volunteer Day

 

Join your fellow Dames for a meaningful morning of service with Shef RhomE to help prepare and share high-end meals with individuals and families who are low-income, unhoused, or experiencing hunger. Beyond nourishment, Shef Rhome fosters human connection and empowers communities through culinary education, financial literacy and essential family support.

VOLUNTEER Details
📅 Saturday, May 16, 2026
⏰ Shift Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (arrive at 9:45 AM)
📍 Location: 2609 Shannon Dr., Violet, LA (APprox. 30-min drive from New orleans)

How You’ll Help
Volunteers will prepare and distribute meals. Tasks include:

  • Food prep, plating, and packing

  • Cleanup

  • Optional meal delivery (for those able)

We can accommodate 10 in-house volunteers and up to 5 additional volunteers for delivery support.

What to Expect
This is an active, hands-on volunteer experience. Tasks may involve standing for extended periods, light lifting (under 25 lbs.), and working in warm or outdoor conditions. All supplies will be provided, including hair nets, gloves, tools, drinks and breakfast.
