Edible Schoolyard New Orleans • Green Tables Initiative

Members: Join us in helping Edible Schoolyard New Orleans get ready for their annual Sweet Potato Fest ( October 24).  They need extra hands getting the garden and ground ready for 500 guests.  We will be weeding, mulching, trimming and assembling supplies for the event.

Space is limited to 20 volunteers. RSVP to reserve your spot.

Please note: We will be working outside in our garden, so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes that can get dirty.  A water bottle and sunscreen are recommended.  They will provide gloves and all other equipment and materials.

Green Tables is an LDEI chapter-led initiative that connects locally grown food, farms and gardens with schools, community food programs, restaurants and home kitchens. Participating chapters bring communities together around fresh, sustainable food and foodways through volunteer projects, gardening, cooking, demonstrations, farmers market programming and more.
