Join us for an evening of Nikkei Japanese meets Peruvian cuisine at Social restaurant, founded by Mexico-born Dulce and Omar Lugo.
Nikkei cuisine is a fusion of Japanese cooking techniques and Peruvian ingredients, developed by Japanese immigrants in Peru starting in the late 19th century. It merges Japanese precision — such as sushi and sashimi — with bold Peruvian flavors, like aji amarillo, lime and fresh seafood to create a distinct, clean flavor-packed style of dining.
LDEI Global Culinary Initiative is a chapter-led program that embraces diversity through the lens of food – the thread that connects cultures, lifestyles and traditions. Through this program, Les Dames NOLA taps into the diverse culture of our community with educational programming and events that celebrate various cultures through their culinary traditions.
